Staff Management

The Staff Manager is used to maintain and manage staff of the Library.

Adding a new Staff

  1. Log into Envoqon LMS
  2. Click Staff > Add a Patron on the menu. The Add a New Patron page will open. Alternatively, on Staff Management page, click on New Icon-new.png toolbar button.

    The staff form has three tabs.

  3. Basic Information

    Complete the fields as required:

    - Fields marked * are required.
    - Staff Role is populated by a list generated by Role Manager
    - If you check the Access All Branches, the staff will be able to manage items in all the library branches. In particular, the staff can transfer patrons and check in items from different branch.

    Contact Information

    Enter Staff's contact information.

    Additional Information

    Next enter any additional information about Staff.

    - Comments: Enter any additional information about the Staff. This will be seen only by staff who has the rights to manage other staff.
    - Picture: upload a staff's picture

  4. Click the Save Icon-save.png toolbar button to add the new Staff. To leave without saving, click the Cancel Icon-cancel.png toolbar button.

Role Manager

The Role Manager is used to grant permissions to staff to use the LMS. To access the role manager, go to Staff > Advance > Manage Roles .

To add a new Role, click on New Icon-new.png toolbar button.The Add a New Role page opens. The form has two tabs.

Basic Information

- Enter the name of the role
- Enter a two letter words which is use to represent the role.
- Enter a short description for that role

Tasks

- Select the privileges associated with the role.


Click the Save Icon-save.png toolbar button to add the new Role. To leave without saving, click the Cancel Icon-cancel.png toolbar button.
